Why is the date of Christmas fixed but Easter is not?

Christmas is always on December 25th. Easter, however, falls on the first Sunday after the full moon on April. As the dates of when a Sunday is per month change, and the moon cycle is always shifting slightly, the date for Easter is likelyto change by a few digits from year to year.
