Why is same-sex marriage morally wrong?

Child RaisingGay marriages do not contribute as much to child raising as straight marriages with both a mother and a father. Gay marriages tend to have less children, and none directly created between both partners. Gay marriages are statistically more likely to end up in divorce; some factors may include an unstable nature of marriage, having no directly biologically conceived kids to keep them together.

Biological parents tend to be better parents to children for a variety of reasons:

1. Children's genes make them similar to their parents, so their parents are able to teach them how to deal with specific strengths and weaknesses that a non-biological parent may not have.
2. Genetically, humans are hard-wired to want to further their genetic line. So, biological mothers are genetically more protective of their own kin as are the fathers.

The lack of both a direct female and a male role model can stunt children's emotional growth, making them unable or less able to relate to one or the other sex, or unable to interact properly with people of the other sex.

Gay marriages are inherently unable to have children. Heterosexual marriages which cannot produce children are the exception rather than the norm.

Tax ReasonsMany of the tax codes and laws were created to benefit married couples specifically because they are statistically more likely to raise children; thus these tax breaks would specifically benefit the children. Since Gay marriages typically have no children, or fewer children if any, they should not receive tax benefits designed to help in the raising of children! Religious Reasons In The Bible it says, 'Man shall not be with man, nor woman with woman.' Gays can't really expect Pastors, Priests and Ministers, etc., to go against the beliefs in the Bible which is thousands of years old. Christian Churches are worried that they would be forced to perform gay marriages.

Gays can form their own churches and I do believe that there some gay pastors and ministers. However, no Christian church should close the doors on gays. Most churches don't (at least in Canada), but, if gays enter the church then the church will try to sway (if they know the person is gay) to live a life of purity and heterosexuality.

To gay couples it appears very normal because they honestly love each other. However, to heterosexuals it looks especially strange to see two men saying their vows and kissing or two women doing the same. It's against everything Christians have been brought up to believe in.

A gay relationship is not natural. The Bible says being homosexual shows the deterioration of a society and that it is a rebellion against God.
