Forget calories. Obesity is caused by build up of excessive fat due to inactivity (lack of exercise).
Even of you cut back on calories, you still need a way to burn any excess fat, and the only scientifically proven way to do that is to exercise.
So-called "fat-burning pills" are a fake industry taking advantage of vulnerable people for profit.
In an ideal diet, men should not exceed 2500 calories a day and women should not exceed 2000 calories a day.
Eat healthily, don't buy any chocolate, crisps or junk food. If you need to snack, eat fruit and/or yoghurt. You'll be surprised how much longer fruit keeps you filled than junk. You could also temporarily become a vegetarian if it helps you eat healthier.
