You can see a number of galaxies with the naked eye.
- Milky Way Galaxy - Our Galaxy
- Large Magellanic Cloud - Best viewed in the Southern Hemisphere
- Small Magellanic Cloud - Best viewed in the southern hemisphere
- Andromeda Galaxy - Appears as a faint smudge.
- Triangulum Galaxy
- Sculptor Galaxy
- Bode's Galaxy
- Centaurus A - Probably the furthest galaxy at 13.7 million light years
- Messier 83 - Highly unlikely but has been reported to be seen.
From 5 onwards, you would need absolutely perfect conditions and no light pollution.
