Why do junebugs like the light?

Junebugs, or June beetles, are attracted to light due to a phenomenon called positive phototaxis, where insects move towards light sources. This behavior is thought to help them navigate during their nocturnal activities, as many insects use natural light sources like the moon to orient themselves.
