How is a KUB performed?

A KUB, or Kidneys, Ureter, and Bladder X-ray, is performed by having the patient lie flat on an X-ray table. The technician positions the X-ray machine above the patient to capture images of the abdominal area, focusing on the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. The patient may be asked to hold their breath briefly while the images are taken to ensure clarity. This procedure is typically quick and non-invasive, usually lasting only a few minutes.
