Can you use peroxide on your tattoo?

No! That could damage the colour, anything which is severely drying should not be used on any kind of body modification (piercings included). The hydrogen peroxide pulls the infection out of the skin and the ink with it. Use an anti-bacterial soap like spectro jel to clean it for the first 2-3 weeks, then start to moisturize with an unscented moisturizer only when the tattoo crusts. I've even heard of people dry-healing their tattoos (cleaning the tat, but skipping the moisturizing stage), as moisturizing too early or too much can also result in colour loss.
