What is the difference between literary and nonliterary prose?

Non-literary prose is informational writing: factual material, informational explanations, textbooks, newspaper articles, journal and diary entries, etc.

Literary prose is written deliberately in a more stylized manner to "flow" or "sing" without actually being poetry.
