How many council tax bands are there?

In England and Wales, there are eight council tax bands, labeled from A to H, based on the estimated value of a property as of April 1, 1991. Band A includes the lowest value properties, while Band H encompasses the highest. In Scotland, there are also eight bands, but they are labeled from A to H, reflecting a similar valuation system.
