Where is the spine located?

The Spine is a wild mountain range extending up the left side of Alagaesia. The ranges are mysterious and danger-ridden, avoided by even King Galbatorix after he lost half an army within its dark recesses.

The southern end of the Spine begins west of Feinster, and runs along the entire western coast, past Palancar Valley and beyond.
