What energy does a satellite use?

Satellites primarily use solar energy to power their systems. They are equipped with solar panels that convert sunlight into electricity, which is used to operate onboard instruments, communication systems, and other essential functions. In some cases, satellites may also use rechargeable batteries or, for certain missions, radioisotope thermoelectric generators (RTGs) to provide energy when solar power is not available, such as during periods of eclipse.
