Can tramadol HCL 50mg be used to treat narcolepsy?

Not officially. But my partner has found Tramadol given for headaches stops him collapsing with cataplexy and falling asleep with narcolepsy 99% of the time.

This was found out by chance, but it works. Codeine also has similar but less effective results.
