Disabling remote configuration just means the router will not be available to be configured from any outside (external) IP address in most cases. It will accept log in information only from a Local IP.

In most cases a class C block, such as 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.

As always check your manual for the router for the default assigned IP Address and the logins for the admin account.

Hope this helps!
