x/3 + x/4 is impossible to solve without knowing what x is. However let's say that x is 3 - 3/3 is the same as saying 3 divided by 3. So your taking your numerator (Top) divided by your denominator (Bottom) and you get your answer. So 3 divided by 3 is 1, 3 divided by 4 is 0.75 - That would be your answers.
