What does the word drudge report mean?

The Drudge Report is a news site run by Matt Drudge and his partner. They take stories from other news sources all over the World and give links to things they find pertinent. They also write reports themselves, they were the first to break the story about Monica Lewisnsky and Bill Clinton when another paper chose not to go with it.
