Why would the windshield wipers on a 1991 Mercedes Benz 190e start by itself and not stop?

It is possible that your wiper switch is bad. The switch can be cleaned with an aerosol switch cleaner if that does not work then replace it. Pls let me know how it goes Regards Ehi
