Can dogs be refused access to UK airports?

Traveling pets entering the UK must adhere to the Pet Travel Scheme requirements, or risk quarantine. Not all airports are equipped to receive animals from outside the UK. Manchester Airport is one that does have such a program, called "Pets on Jets."

Pets are not generally allowed inside the public areas of airports. They are dropped off at special locations for receiving pets for transportation.
