How are the leaders in turkey chosen?

Leaders in Turkey are chosen through a democratic electoral process. The President is elected by popular vote for a five-year term and can serve a maximum of two terms. Members of the Grand National Assembly, Turkey's unicameral legislature, are also elected by the public through proportional representation in parliamentary elections.
