What is Mexico's national animal?

The Crested Caracara (Caracara plancus) is the official national bird.

Other important animals would include the golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) which is found on the Mexican coat of arms, the Mexican hairless dog (Xoloitzcuintle) and the Chihuahua dog, which was first bred in Mexico.
