The procedure called "banding" is major surgery. As such, a team of professionals in involved, as is the use of a surgical facility. Fees include the charges of the surgeon, facility, nursing team and anesthesiologist. While there are several products used in the banding procedure (LapBand, Realize Band, etc.), these are simply band names. The procedure is generally the same and is costly.
