Not really. It's best if you use sunscreen. However, sunscreen may also cause skin cancer if your out in the sun for too long. its also bad if you use no sunscreen at all and go spend the whole day in the sun. You dont want to get sun burned to i suggest you look for a good sunscreen to prevent sun burn.

If you use a tanning lotion, there is absolutly no need to go out in the sun, because the tanning lotion will tan you skin temporarily depending on which tanning lotion you buy.

The two tanning alternatives above are better than tanning in a salon or in a tan bed. Tan beds cause skin cancer, eventually (or puts you higher at risk for it).
