Yes. What makes a product with a label recyclable depends upon the process used to recycle. Since aluminum recycling involves melting the material a paper label will simply burn and the adhesive burned off.

Paper labels on 'paper' products however DO present a problem in the recycling stream believe it or not. This is why the post office asked the label industry to develop RCA's, "Recycling Compatible Adhesives".
