A non-lawyer's answer: If you could prove that you were laid off because you had cancer, then you might have a discrimination case. But having cancer does not automatically protect you from layoffs. If the company closes your worksite completely to move operations elsewhere, for example, you probably don't have much of a case (unless everyone else with similar jobs and experience levels to yours was offered jobs at the new location and you weren't). ANSWER: usually not because it is impossible to work when sick and they cant fire you if your injuired or sick. but they can have sum1 replace u while ur out sick or injuired. when ur ready to go back they have to take u. if not file a report and take it to court.
