Where are hyenas fond on the world map?

Hyenas are primarily found in Africa, particularly in sub-Saharan regions, where they inhabit grasslands, savannas, and open woodlands. The spotted hyena is the most widespread species, while the striped and brown hyenas have more limited ranges. A small population of the brown hyena can also be found in parts of southwestern Africa. Additionally, the aardwolf, a hyena species that primarily feeds on termites, is also native to this region.
