of course it depends on which road or roads you use but it is 424 miles on interstate 70 to give the commonest route & most obvious example but it can be as little as 391 miles on highway 36 & perhaps even a bit less if you cared to work at finding the straightest possible combination of roads probably near the Nebraska state line where the crowfly distance across Kansas is shortest
