What are the similarities or differences of Philippine epic and the epic Beowulf?

One of the epics in Philippine literature have incidents similar to those in Beowulf's Fight with Grendel is Indarapatra and Sulaiman. Because in Beowulf's Fight with Grendel they fought different monsters and enemies, just like in Indarapatra and Suliaman both the brothers fight with monsters and their enemies.
