What is import modeling?

Import modeling is a special category of modeling that does not have strict height, size or weight requirements like fashion modeling. Import models are female, typically very sexy in appearance, of a shorter stature and usually work freelance. Import models appear in magazines, where they pose alongside import cars and motorcycles. They are also popular at import car shows, where they pose next to the cars so fans can take pictures, sign Autographs, sell their merchandise (posters, DVDs, portraits, calendars, etc.) and also pose for photos with fans. The more popular import models with large fan followings are often tapped to be the spokesmodel or "face" of certain brands and companies that are in the import industry.
