How do deer die?

Deer are literally born to die. Anything can kill a deer, including the following:

• Vehicles
• Hunters/poachers
• Starvation
• Dehydration
• Disease such as Chronic Wasting Disease, Lyme disease, bluetongue, Foot and Mouth Disease, and Hemorrhagic disease
• Parasites such as tapeworms, nasal bot flies and brainworms (a form of roundworm that affects the brain)
• Natural predators such as coyotes, bears, wolves, cougars, tigers, wild dogs, etc. (what predators a deer has depends on its species)
• Stress or panic attacks, especially when trapped
