Can you claim the engagement ring after divorce?

Well, I am not a lawyer ....but according to my understanding, a wedding ring was a gift from your spouse, so you do NOT have to give it back to him! ~ Kristina (I am getting a divorce and I am keeping mine..although I really don't know why....but I am guessing your ring must be really expensive ;-)) Mine wasn't..
