How do you buy bait on animal crossing wild world?

First off, be sure you can get in by having one of the townsfolk tell you the "passWord" to get in Redd's shop on the day he's in town. It is random who tells you and usually at random what the passWord is. Sometimes the passWords are the same or different if you don't already have a membership and he visits you more than once. Then, the only way to become a member of the Redd family is to pay 3,000 bells, but be sure to have it WITH YOU while you're in Redd's shop if he asks you to join. He may, he way not. It depends. Watch out though, his furniture is VERY pricey and half the time are fakes or knockoffs.
