Birth rate of Pakistan

Pakistan is 6th largest population in the world and the latest figures show Pakistan's growth rate has risen to an alarming 2.5 percent. This means Pakistan might become the 3rd largest population after China and India by 2050. An independent study by World Bank carried out in June 2011 reports that by 2020 half of Pakistan's population will be of age 15 years or less. This situation requires an enormous investment in education and human development sector. Figures show a huge gap between demand and supply of educational resources, schools, universities, institutes etc
