When do you use given?

It's a past participle of the verb "to give," so you could use it in these ways: 1. "This is a gift that my father has given to me"

2. "Given that they told us to bring sunscreen, it will probably be sunny there" (This way to use the Word is more of an idiom, I guess)

3. "I like being given the answers instead of having to figure them out myself"
