What happens to Sloan in the fourth book of the Inheritance Cycle?

At the end of Brisingr, Sloan is located in his new quarters in Ellesmera, still blind due to the attacks of the Ra'zac. Paolini has not revealed what Sloan's fate is to be, so readers can only speculate what may happen to him in book four. Here are some possibilities:

• Sloan's nature changes to the extent that his true name changes.
• Sloan regains his eyesight, as the elves deem him to have changed for the better.
• Sloan dies, as he is unable to change for the better.
