Is gold a crystal

Given that a crystal is a physical shape, Gold does naturally form crystals.

And in a suitable environment, the crystals may grow.

In New Zealand it has been found that the size of the gold particles in an alluvial mix, will increase the further down the stream one travels. This is because of gold particles adhering to each other.
