Why do people buy trees?

One reason people buy trees is to landscape their yards and property with species of trees they desire, or to plant trees that will grow together to make a windbreak. People buy fruit trees to have their own fruit or to have an orchard to sell fruit. Those who wish to grow and sell Christmas trees buy them when they are very small and harvest them when they are good heights for Christmas trees.
