How can you make your honda tmx 155 engine reach the maximum RPM?

• There are many options of making usable power from a tmx 155 or any other 2valve single cylinder. Over-sizing piston with proper tuning is one way.

An over-sized piston mated with upped carb and stock port makes substantial power good enough for overtaking. [d ka bibitinin!]

Plus proper sprocket set-up for either mid range power or top end speed.

[note: you can not make full use of top end power unless your motor is set in full racing set-up. eg., stock piston and rings most of the times fluctuate with over r.p.m. meaning your piston is faster than your piston rings can react to high r.p.m].

Over-sized ports on the other hand produces max power until before it reaches full rpm. [umaatras sa dulo].

Over-sizing your valves is never an option unless you can precisely machine your cylinder head to give your cams a better angle for up-sizing.

Racing cams is another option, either tall cams or long duration cams, still depending on precise tuning.

And drag racers "stroking", most of the time used for drag racing only, up stroked pins usually reduces engine longevity, making your engine heat up prematurely because of piston speed.

In my opinion, and with experiences and researches I've made, forged pistons and rings, stock valves and springs. reduced ports size (as per mototune usa), 24- 30mm. carb, shorter stroke than stock, lightened rotating parts, a better cdi, clutch work, and a good final drive(sprocket) set-up, And most importantly... correct break-in procedure would be enough to get the rpm you need.

One more thing is the oil you use, I prefer shell helix 15w40 for smoother acceleration.
