Charles Dickens was perhaps the most famous author of the 19th century,with all his novels becoming extremely popular during his own lifetime.He was particulary famous as the the writer of such classic's as The Pickwick Papers,Oliver Twist,Nicholas Nickleby,The Old CuriOSity Shop,David Copperfield,Bleak House,A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations.In 1843 Dickens began to write his Christmas Books of which the first "A Christmas Carol"is the most famous.
