When were air planes made?

Airplanes were first successfully invented and flown by the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, on December 17, 1903. Their aircraft, the Wright Flyer, made its first powered flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Following this breakthrough, various designs and models were developed throughout the early 20th century, leading to the evolution of modern aviation.
