Why do boys act like jerks?

boys tend to hide there feelings they might act like they hate you but they still have feelings for you most boys think if they cover the feelings they have for an ex that it would go away. And some just think if they act like a jerk, the ex will go away. But mostly you just wind up with an ex that thinks her guy is just hiding his feelings.
