What models of Volkswagen are made in Germany?

This answer pertains to new Volkswagens currently sold in the U.S.:

The Golf is now imported from Germany. The Tiguan also comes from Germany. The Passat has pretty much always been imported from Germany.

The Jetta and New Beetle are still made in Mexico, the EOS is made in Portugal. The Touareg is made in Slovakia. The Routan is a rebadged Dodge Caravan made in Canada.

Where VW's have been made in the past varies from year to year. For example: The Golf used to be made in Mexico. And when the Jetta Wagon first came out in the U.S. (2002), it was only made in Germany.

Of course, if you live on other continents, where your VW is made may be completely different that what we get in the U.S.
