Why does the hot water run slow and the cold runs fast?

Your English is terrible whoever wrote the question - Why does hyot water run SLOWLY NOT why does hot water run SLOW - while I am on the subject maybe somebody can tell me why Amercans say ERBS instead of HERBS - who told them that the H in Herbs is silent - do Americans say er instead of her and im instead of him and at instead of hat - I can go on and on - it is extremely irritating watching their food channel and the cooks and chefs all say ERBS instead of HERBS
