Who is the high priest today?

As of my last knowledge update in October 2021, there is no recognized high priest in the context of the ancient Jewish priesthood, as the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 CE. In contemporary Judaism, the role of priestly functions is often performed by rabbis, and the title of Kohen (priest) is passed down through families. In other religious contexts, such as certain Christian denominations, the title can refer to various clergy but does not have a direct equivalent to the ancient Jewish high priest.
