Why did Emilio aguinaldo join the katipunan?

Well, Emilio was into politics at a very young age, i'm guessing that he joined because he believed that the Philippines deserved there independence and freedom, that why the Katipunan was created to secure the independence and freedom of the Philippines by force of arms . . hope it helped (:
