No it does not mean leaving God. It just means that you have found a new way to be near him. For me instead of seeing him on Sunday in church I now see him everyday in the sun and the trees and the brooks and the little birdies singing on my window sill. Becoming a Pagan has caused my relationship with God to become so much better/closer. To the unknowing indavedual I appear to be a great role model christian because I follow the Love your neighbor, turn the other cheek and do unto others rules that Paganism introduced centuries before Jesus did. If by witchcraft you mean Paganism then what you need to know is that most (please note I do not speak for all) Pagans are polytheistic. one more god in the mix and in your heart makes very little difference in the grand scheme of things...
Most of the Pagans I know were raised in homes where some form of religion was observed. If they have "gone looking" for something else it was because they failed to find what they needed in what they grew up with. Pagans do not need or want you to give up your old ideas, there are some very good concepts that come from the organized religions of today. Loving your neighbor, turning the other cheek and doing unto others are just a few of them, but religious intolerance, persecution of those who are different and an abiding belief that their way is the only way aren't. Do a little research, talk to some people, find out for yourself, you'll be amazed at what you will find.

No. I use my magic to protect my and my friends' homes against demons and evil spirits. I study many different ways to do exorcisms. I also use my magic to banish evil and weaken/ destroy it. I pray to God for strength when I do.

Most practitioners of Witchcraft does not just have faith on an invisible God who supposedly created everything. We see God and Goddess in Nature, as Sun and Moon, as Life force. The God and Goddess in in everything that has a life under the Sun and Moon. It is like having a different perspective on the concept of God. We feel more close to God and Goddess when we are in a natural environment, therefore we don't need a special building to worship in.
Also, there are Witchcraft traditions like Santaria where they incorporate Christian God/Saints with Voodoo traditions.
