Alpine cheese being a specialty, several cheese dishes are very popular in France and elsewhere:

• The fondue savoyarde (cheese fondue)
• The raclette (melted slices of raclette cheese over potatoes), from the Swiss Alps
• The tartiflette (baked dish of potatoes and reblochon cheese)
