How do you get a queen bee in FarmVille?

If the hive still has brood (eggs and larvae in the comb) then there is the chance that the worker bees can make a princess cell from one of the worker cells. If there are drones, then the new princess has a chance of being mated and becoming the new queen, or if there are drones in the area. But it is mostly down to luck, I'm afraid.
