Would depakote levels be high after an hour of taking?

Depakote (valproate) levels typically do not peak in the blood until several hours after administration. While some initial absorption occurs within the first hour, it generally takes about 4 to 15 hours for the drug to reach peak plasma concentrations. Therefore, it is unlikely that depakote levels would be significantly high just one hour after taking the medication.
