What is the theme of Jerry Spinelli's book the Library Card?

its about these four kids that randomly finds a blue library card. see i know this because i have to do summer reading homework on it. it is one of the stupidest books i had ever read. i even herd a teacher say its a stupid book bit lifes, life and i dont like school.
