Five Major League Baseball teams have gone wire to wire:

1927 New York Yankees

1955 Brooklyn Dodgers

1984 Detroit Tigers

1990 Cincinnati Reds

2005 Chicago White Sox

All five of these teams were in first place in their divisions from the start of the season and led all the way until they won the World Series.
