What is the difference between margins and indentation?

The margin is the boundary where text normally begins. From that point, if the text is moved to the right, it is indented. Sometimes, the beginning of a paragraph is indented in a letter or a book. This paragraph is an example of how the first line is indented and the rest of the lines of the paragraph begin at the left-hand margin. There is also a margin on the right-hand side of the page, not to mention the top and the bottom of the page also have margins. Indenting tends to highlight a line or an entire section of text may be indented to set it apart from the rest of the body of text.
